General information

In their Eighteenth century villa "Serragambetta" Domenico and Perna Lanera offer a warm family welcome, inviting their guests to discover the traditions and culture of the Country Folk, wich down through the centuries has shaped this territory in historical and artistic terms. The surrounding country side is the typical south eastern hilly land of the Murge which continues right up to the Adriatic sea (15 Km.). This is the land of the trulli, olive groves, dry stone walls and secular oaks. It si possible to take part in the agricultural activities of the villa (olive yard, orchard and vegetable gardens all using organic farming).

The major part of the products used in the preparation of meals at Serragambetta comes from their own gardens. Interested guests can follow Signora Perna (Zia Nina) in practical lessons on the local cuisine.
Thanks to its position the agritourism is an ideal starting place for excursions to the main centers of historical, artistic and environmental interest in the area: Grotte (Caves) di Castellana , Alberobello, Valle d'Itria, Putignano (famous for its carnival), archeological site of Egnazia.
